Default WHO knows how to adjust rocker arms....

i got a 1969 with a 302 engine. My rocker arms are the ones with rails...the pushrods sit in a large hole with no sorta guide as the rocker arm kinda cups it so it stays in place.

now how do i adjust these suckers....some people say feel the pushrod while cam is at lowest position and then tighten 1/2 turn after no more play in pushrod...

while others say..

torque the nut 23lbs

what is the correct way???

non rail:

rail type:

instead of small holes in the head the tip gets the rocker centered. this typ is non-adjustable the only way to fix adjustment problems with them is to order different length pushrods
