Default running dual exhaust with single exhaust brake line setup

sooo how bad will it be to run duals with the brake lines set up for single exhaust?

the rear hose & lines are a little different for a dual exh. set up on the 65/66. not thinking i should have set it up this way when i replaced the lines.

now im thinking of redoing the exhaust, originally i was just going to chagne out the muffler and build a bracket to hold the shorter muffler in teh same space of the larger single muffler.

think i would have any issues putting some turn downs after the mufflers and just dumping it right under the axle?

what kind of issues would i have to try and the exhaust over the axle with the current brake line? im figuring i could od it and just modify the pipe to clear it.

65 I changed mine to dual with the single exh brake line. I was putting all new lines in anyway and I bought the dual exh rear hose (pic below) to relocate it. It is 40.00. The line is the same to that point. It just does away with the block on the axle. You would probably have the bend some new lines from the new hose block to the wheel cylinders.

If not just dumping the exhaust before the alxe would work, just make it a little louder inside.

I'd change the line. Dumping the exhaust under the car could result in exhaust gases being sucked up into the interior.

When we bought my son's 96 F-150, it had had duals installed. The PO just zip tied the rubber brake hose up out of the way, which bent it too tight and it was cracking when we found it! (Idiot)

It's a lot cheaper and easier to go buy a 12 or 18" premade section brake line at Autozone (along with a female-female coupler) and extend the line over to a location that clears the exhaust. You'll probably need to fab a bracket or some way to secure the extra length line in place also.
