Default windshield cleaning

help-i have a 66 mustang convertible-how and what do i use to clean the windshield from the inside without leaving streaks-i have tried most cleaning solvents and after cleaning the inside of the windhield the glass appears to be clean but as soon as the sunlight hits the glass at the right angle, the streaks appear-to me, very annoying-any suggestions-thanks-tom

Before I tell you what I do, don't knock it till you've tried it. I clean the window with whatever glass cleaner I have, usually windex and and paper towels, then I do it again but wipe it off with balled up newspaper. Never streaks.

I use Stoner Invisible Glass Foam and a microfiber towel.
No ammonia so it won't hurt tinted windows.

Maybe they are dirty? My stang sits out side to so I rarely drive it as Im always working on it. My windows need to be cleaned twice b/c dirt and film buildup on them. try using a terry towel with mild soap and water first. then use that stoner stuff it does work pretty good.

I use a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water, and wipe with newspaper. Best glass cleaner I know of.

+1 on Invisible Glass and microfiber towel - the stuff is amazing.

I cleaned the old 1964.5 windows 2 weeks ago with the stuff for the first time ever. Yesterday, as I was backing up I asked my passenger (wife) to look out the rear glass with me. She agreed that it looked as if I had no window... it was that clear. I kid you not.

I learned about it from AutoRestorer magazine and I have to agree with the recommendation! It is really good and it will not harm your glass or gasket like ammonia containing solutions.

Brasso (or any silver polish) removes hard water spots and scratches and polishes little stuff right out.

I agree with the vinegar and the news paper.
