ROCKER/PUSHROD PROBLEMS
#23
Make sure that you have the right valves to use the self centering rockers. The ones that use the "rail" style rockers have a LONGER valve tip above the retainer. If you use the short tip and a rail rocker it will cause the keeper to come out of the retainer and you will drop a valve.

the guide plates arent really to align anything other than at high RPM's. the guideplates keep the pushrods from coming off anything at very high RPM's. atleast thats what ive heard. ive never heard of them being useful on anything but a high RPM motor other than just to be sure everything is ok. of course all motor experiance i have is chebby..... :/
i retract my last post too, i hadnt seen your apology. sorry about that. im in the same boat as you actually, but on my race car. the damn thing is supposed to be a stock division but just about everything ive had to do becuase what the car was before needs to be custom made or modified even if its for that car
i just learned about 10 mins ago i need to get a cutom driveshaft now as the one i have is about an inch too short were out of money, and luckily the guy is letting us pay him next week for it...
