Detailed Assembly Manual

Detailed Assembly Manual
So we finally got all the paint done on my '66 and I'm currently in the process of reassembling. I'm quickly realizing that I have roughly 12 boxes full of crap and I don't quite remember where everything goes. The big stuff isn't an issue, but I'm more concerned about smaller details like wire routing, where clips go, etc, etc. Does anyone know of a good detailed assembly manual that would ease the pain of the process?
Also, if anyone has any suggestions on the order in which things should go in, any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to avoid putting stuff in just to have to take it back out because i forgot to put something else in.

You can find this in a good number of places but what you want is at the link above.
You might also want to get the similar book that is the "electrical assembly manual". I have the electrical book and it is extremely useful when wiring things.
I need to order the body assembly manual myself....getting ready to take pretty much the whole front end of my car apart and it will be useful when I get going on it.

Pick yourself up a Factory Service Manual for your car too while you are at it. It will help with the reassembly, torque specs and anything else you could need to know about your car. I was pushed to get one and I'm glad I did, thousands of times better than a Haynes manual, very detailed.
You can pick one up from multiple places, NPD, MustangsPlus, etc....

I am also doing a total on my wife's original 65 Coupe. Total to bare metal prep, multiple primer coats/sanding=really straight paint, or at least so I am being told. Car has been in a shop for going on 5 years, but is now making progress in reassembly.(Still no final paint.) One issue that I am wondering about now... how do you keep bolts from starting to rust and degrade from the first day you reassemble? Is a good clear coat the best approach, with "touch-up" after tightening? One of the problems of getting these cars "too perfect" is they start going down the day you finish. I am trying to keep this from happening this time. There has to be some past experience out there with some serious concour guys. any ideas?

5 years?!?!? Wow... and here I am sweating that it's taken me 9 months. Personally, I've been bead blasting and painting all the rusty bolts and plan on touching up any the i nick during assembly. Not concours, but that's not what I'm going for. I was almost tempted to buy one of those complete nut and bolt kits, but in the end figured I'd rather spend that $300 somewhere else.
