I know I only have an I6, but once I get a turbo it will be a lot of fun.
The driveshaft part made no sense to me, so I wouldn't have done that anyway. I do plan on debadging the mustang.
I also want to see what it can run. Local 66 with a 289 bored .030 ran a 10.3 in the 1/8th. I think the coupe could run about that with my timing up.

Im am trying to help him by offering a 2nd opinion...He paid a pretty penny for that I6 because its a solid car and shaving weight off of it I believe is not in his best interest...lets say he manages to dump a 100 pounds and has given up all kinds of things from heater to handling...guess what he gets a 1/10th second improvement ....1/10th.
Now a turbo I6....i like where that is going.

I am getting it setup for the turbo. Just finished 5 lug conversion, only thing is I still have the I6 drivshaft. If I get ever get a summer job(hard to find for me) I should have the turbo parts ready by winter.
I'm either going to use my HW5200 2bbl that is on the mustang now or the holley 350cfm 2bbl I have sitting around.

In your situation I highly suggest taking little steps no big changes...One thing at a time.
I had 2 friends that both had camaros They both had big plans for them...one guy got his running well and the other got his running then put custom built brand new 5000 buck 500 hp 350 in it. They both wanted to paint them so they went at it. The one with 500 hp is still totally scatted about a garage i gather and has a lower end knock. The other is covered under a bunch of rags with 300 bucks worth of primer on it slowly sinking into the river sand while its hood rusts under a deck. that work started in late 2000 and ended about 25% complete in mid 2001 and has yet to resume...
dont bite off more than you can chew...and avoid doing anything drastic like gutting the interior to shave off 50 pounds.

if your car isnt built to handle the horsepower yet just throwing a turbo on there is going to product some horrific results
i'm assuming you already have front disc brakes? i learned the hard way of waiting to get them and adding power

Since your car is an I6 and more of a cruiser, I wouldn't do any of these weight shaving ideas. You will wish you didn't later.
Also, unless you have OD anything more than 3.20 ish gears will not go well with the 200. The inline six is not a high reving motor.
Although my car has a 302 and a T5 now, it was an I6 3 speed originally and was that way when it was my daily driver back in high school. It had 3.20 gears and turned about 3000 rpm on the highway.
