Default New wide band A/F ratio install

hey

I picked up a PLX setup for use in fuel ratio monitoring. Its a good quality system that should provide usable results for use in carb tuning and ultimately HP increases.

Ill let you guys know what I find.

Here are some pics of the PLX M-500 unit:

It can send wireless data stream to a lap top for logging purposes. The black box you see displays the ratio but also sends the data signal to the gauge. I plan to place the box in the glove box and have the gauge visible.

got the data logger installed and wired...took the better part of the day to do it right and make it look nice. I opted for not installing it in the glove box due to wire length. I dont think its current location is that distracting. It blends in pretty well without making an eye sore.

Ran it through the start up test and it appears to be working fine.

Next step is to tap the exhaust and weld in the bung.

Hey Gun.... just an FYI in case you don't have access to a welder (or services) for that O2 bung.

Here is an alternative:

Just thought I'd throw it out there in case you could use the info.

Take care!
