Default i am looking for some new seats

i am interested in getting seats from a late model car or some decent aftermarket seats and putting them into my 66. any ideas out there. i was into vw's in HS and i used seats out of an eclipe and they worked nice.
i am assuming i will need to get them covered also so the intitial condidtion may is not that important.

I have read the newer Mustang seats wourk with slight mods to the seat tracks. I just bought a pair from a '99 but have not put them in yet.

Any Mustang seat will have the proper width for the stock seat tracks. Catch is, they may raise the seat position up. If you're a taller person, you'll run out of head room. The fix is to drop the seat pans, which takes some fabrication skill.

I did see an Eclipse yesterday that had some really nice factory seats. What I'd recommend is measuring the track width on your factory seats and going to a junkyard with a tape measure looking for something close.

I have seen several Fiero conversions that turned out well, so keep those in mind. Ideal would be '69-70 Mach I seats (what I did), but those can be very pricey.

Fiero seats with the speakers built into the headrests. There is some company that reupholsters them or sells the upholstery to match.

Tell me more about the pic. I'm interested in what those seats are AND the console for a 65. Do you have the part numbers?

The seats are ProCar Elite 1000s available through Summitt Racing.

The console is a humphugger on a stock 65 console.
