Default what driveshaft to use?

I am installing my versailles rear soon, I have a 67 vert with a 500hp 408 and lentech AOD, will the stock driveshaft be OK or should I get one made or maybe a modified aerostar or alum one? either way I will have to modify mine.

Just get a new stock type steel made up. I wouldn't waste $$$ on aluminum really, especially if you plan on going faster, NHRA has some cutoff where alum driveshafts are no longer allowed. A standard stock type steel is pretty dang strong too.

well, I could probably make one pass at the dragstrip and I would be kicked off the track.

I dunno, I'm trying to recall, but I think you have to be going pretty fast to need a steel shaft. I'd rather have one just for the peace of mind though.

dennys driveshafts will be able to sort you out. not the cheapest option, but will fit and they'll be able to advise what will hold
