Default Parking Brake for Versailles rear end?

I'm restoring a '65 convertible that has a Versailles rear end on it. I bought it with the rear end already installed. My problem is it didn't have the parking brake and I don't think the stock one would fit.

Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

if the parking brake brackets are there, they are about 8" long with springs then you can fab some up.

I think the '67 set up is different than a '65 (not sure, but I think so). Does the '65 even have brackets? If so, where would they be? Maybe I need to weld them on....

I have a 65 with a Versailles rear. For the emergency brake we got new Versailles cables and made our own extension to mate up the the factory equalizer. The new cables ended up draggin on the rear floorboard, so we used some copper tubing and made a sleeve for it to slide in.

The Versailles brake calipers have special little levers on them that the cables go in. Is it missing those?

Where did you get new Versailles hoses? I need some. I had to get mine remade by Hydraulic House. I'm talking about the little short ones that go from the caliper to the hard line on the rear end. They have little mounting tabs on them.

You'll have to be more specific about the bracket your talking about. How close to the bottom of the page in that link? What paragraph?

the single item on the very bottom of the page but you need 2 of them, the hoses I bought years ago new in the box but I also have some perfect used ones as well.

My brakes have the lever, so that's ok. I've looked around for cables and they're not easy to find! Is there a specific year that works best? I don't know what year my rear end is...hopefully they're not too different!

Any suggestions on where to go to find the cable?

I got 1978 Versailles parking brake cables from Rock Auto. They are made by Raybestos.
