Default LED Headlight Poll

Has anyone used the new LED Headlights for the Classic Mustang. I know Mustang Project makes them...Maybe others do too. I just saw them in Mustang Monthly Magazine. I would think LED headlights would not be as bright b/c LED generally have less lumen.

So, do you like them...Do you hate them...Or have you never heard of them?

Weird, never heard of them. HID's, sure, but not LED's. I wouldn't think LED's would be bright enough.

Wow I agree it sounds like a bad idea....probably not bright enough but for sure not enough diffusion. They are a lot like a laser can be really bright but only light up a little spot. Even if they positioned them in an orb like configuration I don't think they would light up the edge of the road nearly as well.. So probably not worth the power savings/heat reduction.

I guess we shall see

I've never heard of them, maybe mustang monthly has a thread about it online?

I just finished doing the "relay-mod" and making a whole new harness out of 12 gauge wire so I'm read to throw any headlight in there! Whether it be H4 Halogens's, HID's or I guess LEDs now I don't know, but the plain sylvainia's are super bright now

The ones listed on Mustang Monthly are carried by Mustang Project and are made by Truck Lite. Here is the link.

They are inexpensive at $578 a set!

well for that price they had better kick ***....they showed pretty pictures and a nice little store but no pictures of them lighting up a road in total darkness...where's the beef?

Wow, to hell with that. HID's are cheaper, and even those are overkill IMO. Truck Lite also offers inserts to replace the factory sealed-beam lights with replaceable Halogen bulb setups, something like $60/ea.

For that price i woundnt do it, id think the tribar would be the brightest. I have the xenon headlights and they work pretty well, they are better than stock halogens and cost around $70. theyre supposed to look like the ones the new BMWs have with the blueish tint but there not that blue.
