That was the first time I used a spot weld bit, I used two and both sides of the cutter. It was a pain, I drilled through a few times and missed a few. Other than that had a good time as the first pic with the Grandkids helping shows.

It took me a while to get the hang of not going too deep. When I removed my cowl I had quite a few that went through both pieces of steel. Don't take this wrong but seeing your pictures makes me happy I'm past that part! Good luck with it!
