Call me traditional, but I like the original Torque Thrust. Good Deal?

Tire Rack can ship these wheels mounted to 215/65R15 BFGoodrich Traction T/A T w/Raised Black Letters for $971.00.

I am thinking about pulling the trigger and selling my Cragar SS's. Am I correct that this seems to be a decent deal?

I thought about it and I drive it around town on nice days on the weekend. Never in the rain if I can help it.

Also I did pick them because of the traditional tread pattern.

I bought the TT D's and love them but will be painting the spokes satin black to match other parts of my car when i repaint, I don't like the 'primer' gray that they come in. I picked up a set w/o tires for just <$600 (free shipping, valves and lugnuts incl.), looks like $625-$655 is avg. price now, you probably save a couple bucks as they mounting/balancing will be pretty much free. You would have to see what they would cost w/o tires and how much local tires and balancing would cost to compare.

Traction T/A's are good tires for what they are. Much better than Radial T/A's. The sidewall is super stiff (better cornering), the tread compound has better traction, and the tread design provides decent wet weather traction. Just make sure to keep them inflated properly and rotate them regularly, otherwise the shoulders tend to wear out prematurely.

A set of Traction T/A's with those wheels for that price is a pretty solid deal.

Good to hear.
I think I will order them. They are coming from Delaware and may be here by the end of the week.

Around here they charge upwards of $20-25 a wheel to mount and balance when you don't buy the tires from them. This includes that, lug nuts and shipping.

I was looking at Dodgestang chart and it seems like the 215/65/15 combo is an oddball and that 215/60/15 is more common.
So the tire sidewall is 5% shorter on a 60, correct. Would that be a better move for me?

Uuuuughhhh something I just thought of, I now have disc brakes up front. Will these wheels be an issue?

Most likely not an issue. Which disc brakes do you have?

You are correct, a 60 series tire sidewall is 5% shorter than a 65 series sidewall (which really isn't that much). I'm sure either would work, but you'll have to decide which is right for you. The 65's will fill up the wheel well more than the 60's.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
215/60-15 5.1in 12.6in 25.2in 79.0in 802 0.0%
215/65-15 5.5in 13.0in 26.0in 81.7in 776 3.4%

i think stock tyres were 26" anyway. maybe someone knows for sure. I have 225/60R15 in the back which are 25.6". so that shouldn't be the problem.
I don't see why you should have any probs with your brakes, but I rather have that confirmed by someone who knows. I can only tell you my discbrakeswap brakes are no prob under my 15x7 wheels with 3.75"BS. No problem in back with discs either
