Finally, here are some recent pictures of mine.

It has GT rear leaf springs and 1 inch lower front springs. The wheels are 15x7 Magnum 500 and the tires are 215 60 15 Yokohama YK520. I love how it looks now. It also rides and handles much better than it did with the BFG TAs. They were 215 front and 235 rear.

The rear shackles removed and the wider white letter tires removed.

Cars look great. I am putting disk brakes on my 1967 mustang. Will 16" wheels from a newer mustang mustang work on this car.

I just bought 2-3in. blocks to drop the back of my 68' and i need to know what i'll need to lower the front..and thing will help..thank you

2-3" lowering blocks? Sounds like a recipe for massive wheel hop. Why don't you drop it correctly by installing a lowering spring (reverse eye or mideye)? I wouldn't recommend any block thicker than 1". Lowering the front could be as easy as cutting the coils.

you think 3in is to big?..but what if i put the blocks on..could i just buy lowered spindles for the front?

If they make lowering spindles for any front suspension other than the mustang 2 I'm not aware of it. Unless you have a mustang 2 up front they won't work. Posting a pic would help us advise you. A 3" block may lower it where you want it but at what cost? Anything worth doing is worth doing right. That's why I suggested replacing the rear leafs with a leaf that lowers the car, if you need another inch, a 1" block is okay. To lower the front, do the arning drop and cut the coils if needed.

Hi everyone, I have a 1970 Mustang Fastback that I am lowering the rear end 3 inches and the front 2 1/2-3 inches, I am wondering if anyone could tell me what is the biggest size rim and tire I can fit? Thanks

1966 Coupe
American Racing Torq Thrust 17x7 front 4.0" backspace, 17x8 rear 4.5" backspace.
BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 215/45ZR17 front , 225/45ZR17 rear.


No rubbing or fender modification.

Your car looks good. I am looking at the same rim, but 17x9 front and 17x10 for the rear. Have you consider a wider rim before deciding on these?
