Rocker is now out.

I found a little more rust, why am I not surprised. LOL!!!

Just gotta clean it up, weld in a few patches, cut the new rocker to match how I cut this around the door jams, and weld her up.

The rocker is mostly in now.
Rocker patched.

Seat belt bolt welded in and all painted up.

Rockers are a pain in the butt to put in, not only was the repop rocker too tall by a full inch it was also too wide by about 3/8". I had to do a lot of "massaging" to get it in.

I'll have to do a little Bondo work where I had to beat it with a mallet and a sledge hammer and where I had to cut the rocker apart to put it back together.
Any way it is now in.

I'm going to tackle the drivers quarter panel next.

This should be interesting.
I've got full quarters that came with the car, but I haven't fully decided whether to do it as a kin or full replacement.
The thought of messing with the lead line scares me.

I love it, it has done everything I've asked it do except do it for me. LOL!!
No, I have not had a need for a bigger unit, as many have stated before, it will do everything you need to do on a Mustang.

What is the best way to cut the quarter out on top of the small window area? You can't get to the spot welds from the side to get it out.

The quarter is now out.

I got to patch up the wheel wells and clean things up a bit and prep the new quarter panel.
After talking with a few people on putting the new one in and wanting to keep the sharper edge of the top panel I've decided to butt weld the top panel in near the top edge. It is risky I know, but after looking at the how rounded the edge of the repop top panel is compared to the real one, I'll risk it. Our car is a cruiser not a big show car and if it waves at people going by a little so be it.

I got the wheel well patch done and almost in.
Aarghhhh!! I just ran out of welding wire.

Oh well, I test fit it and it fits really good.

Off to Harbor Freight tomorrow to get some more wire and to the paint store to get more Chassis Savor and Epoxy primer.

Not a big update.

It has been hot and we had a lot of kid stuff to do in the past couple of weeks and little time to get things done, besides I need to take a little break to get rejuvenated as well.
I just need to take a rest.
I do not want to hit a burn out stage at this time of the game, There will be time for rest when it gets too cold for working in the garage in a few short months.

I got the wheel front patch done.

I decided to take the quarter panel out fully now and go with the full quarter panel.
I got the lead melted out of the joint and start to think about drilling out those welds.
