302 with modern tremec trans
Hi
Im currently building a special with a 74 302, I want a tremec trans for my application & have been offered an 04 T5-5 from a modular,
Will it fit my motor with no mods?, it looks very similiar to a T3650 which I know wont fit, I cant find any info on late T5s hence my question alternatively theres a T56 but acceleration is what im after, how do you find driving a 6 speeder?
Thanks for any advice

As far as bolting up to a 302, the T-5 will be fine. However as far as going into a '74 that is something i dont know about.
Her is a list of T-5 conversion kits for 64-73.

If it was me doing this i would bolt the tranny to the motor and start doing some measuring to figure out what sort of kit might work, call the makers of the kits and see what they have to say and be prepaired to have to do some fabrication work of my own.
I have no doubt it could be done motor wise. But crossmember and body wise i would be ready to do some work to get something that works.

This is the one I have. When I got it it didn't say Hurst Driveline Conversions. I don't know what that means. I'm also using a late model bell housing with Modern Driveline clutch cable.
