It'd depend on the pad compounds used and the piston sizes in the calipers.

I am planning on using Hawk HPS pads with either set up.

piston comparison would be the SSBC kit from Summit vs. PBR '04 cobra calipers

thanks 67mustang302!

Does anyone have a picture 11.25" disc brakes behind 17" wheels?

I'm debating whether to get this SSBC set up or go 13" discs with my 17" wheels.

The one with bigger pads and bigger pistons will stop better, but you need enough master cylinder to move the pistons.

If going with this 11.25" 4-wheel disc set up, does the master cylinder need to be changed also??

That is a great price for those. I think I paid that much when i bought mine 10 years ago. i got the fronts only(not cross drilled) and they have performed flawlessly since day one.
