Very helpful mod if for some reason you forget what side your steering wheel is on.

I might be going to the big swap meet at the Nashville fair grounds on Feb 4th. I know my dad and grandfather are.
I'll try to make that swap meet, let me know if you ever sell the Mobil sign or come across another. My father worked for them when they were Magnolia oil in high school untiil he retired with Mobil so I'm always looking for something for him.

The signs are all reproductions, I wish it was an original. Ebay has a lot of different ones.

I like this one

My grandfather told me he has a 5 gallon Esso bucket that he will give me. I've thought about using it as my trash can in my room.

I have my eye on a couple more signs I'd like to have. Both are vintage and show wear. I'd probably clear coat them to keep in the patina.

I'm actually getting a pair of them, but I will only be installing on the drivers side since that is how they should be. The hash marks were started back in the 60s with the race corvettes. They determined which side the steering wheel was on and which car it was. I heard that the #1 car would have 1 stripe, #2 2 stripes, etc.

eh I still don't agree. The 5.0 emblem makes sense. But the stripes... first your car isn't a corvette and second... the two stripes means your car is 2nd (I'd want mine to be 1st). But at the end of the day it's your car, I just can't help but throw my .02 out there.

So I am considering the Ford Racing B303 cam for my 302. Anyone have any other cam suggestions? Would prefer roller cam, but it doesn't have to be. I have a roller block.

I could also get the Trick Flow Track Max cam, but I'm not sure it if would work with my setup.

I will be running my Weiand intake, Edelbrock 1406 carb, patriot mid-length headers, and port matched E7s.

If I end up not finding one I think I'll skip the engine mods and go straight to interior mods. I want new seats and maybe even 3 point seat belts.

No experience with the B303 but I've never heard of being able to install a flat tappet hyd. cam in a roller block? There are kits $$ to do the opposite - roller cam in hyd. block. I downloaded CompCams 'CamQuest' free program and plugged in my cars specs and it suggested 3 cams which I narrowed to one. You can change the parameters of your specs (diff. ratios, RPM range, tire size, etc.) and see what it does to the cam recommendations. Just be sure to be honest with yourself with what 90% of your driving condition will be (DD, race).

I would definately focus on making the car safer (highback headrest seats, 3 pt. belts) before making it go faster. Once my engine is broken in it will go to the body shop where I'll have the upper and lower mounting points welded in for the 3pt. belts, looking at how to do the rear to. I already have foxbody seats and modded the tracks for my 6' ht. so I have more stretch when extending the seat.
If you make it to the swap meet in nashville give me a PM, if I'm around you're welcome to see what I did.

How are the fox body seats? There is a set of red ones here, but I've been thinking out new edge black or charcoal leather seats.
