*****CORRECTION *******

It is not an entire subframe, they simply cut out the front shock towers from a 66 and welded in a new models strut towers. Is this a bad thing> Th owner thought that the new equipment came from a Mustang II. Has anyone done\heard of this?

It is a very difficult process to cut out the original shock towers, and replace them with late model strut towers and get everything to line up right. I thought about doing it to my '71 coupe that I'm restoring, but then found a MUCH easier way. Check out Fat Man Fabrications new strut conversion kit. http://www.fatmanfab.com/page20.htm
