Default Choke conversion

Got the motor and tranny back in the car this past weekend, and have started planning my next phase for reassembly. I know this has likely been covered as indicated by the 200+ threads that I got from the search, but does anyone have any recommendations on a electric conversion kit? I have a 2 bbl carb currently and would like to continue to use it, already rebuilt.

Also in I noticed while searching online, that some people have used a holley conversion, does this work?

Yeah
keep the manual choke and save yourself some trouble.

I guess I stand alone on this one but the more control I have over stuff the happier I am. satisfaction is power over everything (with in reason). I love my manual choke and its even saved me from a roadside repair when a low speed circuit became partly blocked causing the car to die at low speed. Stop and try to fix it? Hell no pull the choke until the A/F gauge progresses from an 18 to a 15 and go about my business.

which one?
autolite 2100 or similar? If yes, they have a very very good system with the heat riser. worked perfectly for me when I had the carb. wouldn't change that one to electric ever. let us know what carb you have ..

It's the 2100. I'm switching the exhaust manifolds to the hipo style. Don't want to go to the 4bbl holley or equivalent just yet, since it would require changing the intake.

in a mild climate I had no problem running the autolite 2100 without the choke tube. I never needed much and it would disengage slower, so i had to adjust it accordingly. I have no idea what carb the Hipo used, but maybe you're lucky and there's a provision for the choke tube in there. If not you could wrap trhe ponycarbs tube around it.
Personally I'd be the type who'd just slap the 2100 on as is and see what works and what don't
