Wow, you have one heck of a solid car here! Love all the pictures and seeing your son working with you. He will have this memory forever of working with his dad, that is so awesome. Keep up the great work and keep the pictures coming! Love the color you are doing... afterall, there are only two choices really, Red or Wrong!

Played with the driver side door this weekend, this is a new Golden Legion door. The fit wasn't too bad but the rear corner on the bottom stuck out 1/4" so I had to cut the bottom of the door to push it in. Once the dimensions were right I welded it back together.
Not sure if this was right but it worked for me. This was my first door, I was a little apprehensive about doing it but I took my time, adjusted the hinges about a million times then just measured a million more before I cut. All in all, aside from taking a lot of hours it really wasn't too difficult.

Finally got the driver side done, was a little more work than I thought but I'm happy with the alignment.

Been a while since I posted updates and pics. Got the doors hung, fenders, hood and headlight buckets all lined up. Then took everything apart so I could spray the interior. Then rehung everything, not taking the time to line it up again since its all coming apart again but got the primer shot and block sanded. Tonight, I'm shooting the rally stripes so I can tape them up in the AM and then shoot the red. Finally getting some color on the car

Great to hear! So are you do the stripes first and then the rest of the paint?

Seems that's the way everyone does it so I figure why not. Sure makes masking it out a lot easier.

Here's a few more pics, doors back off primed and painted. As well as the filler pieces for the back seat. White spots are from the reflection of the lights.

Did a bc/cc on the interior, the outside is getting a tri-coat of the same color. Although based on my test panel is a little deeper red.
