I think 2 issues,,,,,,
did you connect the wires coming from the column? By color, or by testing their function?
(dash lighting issues) My son did it by color on his Falcon, didn't work, I had to redo by function. Also, if the signal switch is broken you will have issues.
The instruments are actually simple to figure out from scratch, you have a power source of about 6 or 8 volts to the fuel, temp, and oil gauge, teest this with a voltmeter, if this works out right, disconnect the sender from the gauges and the gauges should read "0" or "e",
THEN with a jumper check the gauge by taking the instrument side to ground as you watch the gauge, it should move to the high side of the scale. if this works:
Check for continuity of the wire from the gauge to the sender, if this is good make sure your senders are GROUNDED, if you used Teflon tape on the engine senders they might not work, they must ground to the block, and the fuel gauge may require a ground as well.
If all of this is good the issues may be with the senders, they can be checked with a ohm meter, but I doubt all 2 of your senders are kaput...

True story, I knocked my Oil, temp, and Fuel gauge senders at the same time when my IVR let loose. They went high the all the way low. I thought the IVR stopped working again. I was pissed when I replaced it and nothing still worked.
