Default 20" rims for ’68 Coupe

Has anyone on this forum put 20" rims on a '68 Mustang coupe? If so, what werewheel & tirespecs. I'm not even sure they will fit. Any recommendations or help would be appreciated?

I would never put 20's on any Mustang.. That's just me though.

I've seen a 2000 v-6 with 20's.. They were auctioning it a audio store.; there was no space in those fenders for anything. I don't know how they would drive that car...

Hey Jug, I live in Houston too.. The mustang I'm talking about is a yellow stang out in High way 6 and Bellaire I think....The 20's are chrome... you've seen it?

It looked nasty to me cause I wouldn't go bigger than 17 like you said! I'm all about performance.

RIGHT ON!!!! Finally, someone willing to enter the new millenium with me!! Check out the discussion I started in this forum.....the topic is Fast Forward Fastback. It was a car done at a famous custom shop called Rad Rides and they got most of the parts, including the car itself on ebay. It's got 18's in front and 20's out back. It looks damn good!! Check it out.

yeah, it might be in the "new millenium" for looks, but if you're going for performance don't bother going past 18", as you increase the wheel size you greatly increase the wheel weight, which increases rolling mass, you're braking will get worse, if you hit pot holes be ready to buy new tires

there's someone here that has 17" wheels on his '67, they just don't look right. I might snap a pic sometime if it stops raining...

anyone who would ruin a real car like a classic mustang by putting huge rims on it needs to get a life and realize what he would be doing. if youre gonna put 20 rims on something put em on a civic or some piece of $hit like that

Glad to see that fellow hobbiests are so closed minded that they can't accept a car for what the owner want's it to be. Maybe someone thinks your cars all look like crap with gay 14 or 15 inch wheels, but we are all car people and should have some respect for others opinions. I don't care what size wheels you have on your car, if it is done well it can look just as good as one with 18's or 20's. All of us have contributions to the hobby, and if they were all the same, none of us would want to do it anymore and all the cars would rot to death in a field somewhere!!!
