200ci, how much oil?

I don't think you damaged the engine. I'm pretty sure if you overpressure the crank case with oil it'll just blow out the breather.
These things are built h*ll for stout, and will go through a bunch. I've owned 2 x 200 ci and 1 x 250 ci and ran the daylights out of them. Even ran the 250 out of oil, once, and it still made good power and lasted quite a long time.
$3700 for an I-6 rebuild? Ouch.
