Default what fuel filter should I get?

Hey

I think its time for a new fuel filter the one I have has been letting some particulate matter though that sticks up my inlet needles once and a while Im tired of having to clear floats in random places.

I dont really care what it cost but it needs to be kick *** and one that I can install on a soft line with hose clamps would be nice. One that is serviceable would be awesome.

What has been working for you guys?

I use this one from summit:, it catches down to 40 microns how ever small that is....

I used black to hide it as much as possible, it unscrews and the element is bronze so you can take it out and flush with carb spray, easy maintenance. It has 3/8" barbs but I've stretched 5/16" hose over it before.
I had one of those glass ones years ago which was good to spot when a dirty tank clears up but the thought of glass in my fuel system now and the chance of it tapping something or cracking due to heat scares the he!! out of me now.

I run napa 3405 (was fram pcs5059) on everything. Filters down to 12 micron and flows a ton.

I run two filters. The regular filter that screws into the carb, filters down to 10 microns, and a inline filter going into the suction side of the fuel pump.

i was about to say most holley type have one just like the one that jonk posted in the inlet. better said two of them. they work great. I have one filter at tank before my pump, the pump instructions called for 70microns or less. I have another one (overkill) that is transparent so I can see when bubbles are forming. I had to have that because sometimes my engine would stall as the carb was getting to hot, bubbles back into filter. it helped me troubleshooting.

i think you run an edelbrock, so I'd get a fuelfilter that you can take apart (like above) for easy maintenance and what jonk posted before the carb

Come to think of it, have you ever replaced the sock filter on your fuel sender in the tank? My original one was pretty shot when I changed the sending unit.
