I really need more info. is it getting spark to the plugs? did you pull a plug and lay it against a ground to see if it was sparking.

It most likely has "jumped time" (symptoms match). Take #1 plug out and bring the #1 cyl to TDC on the compression cycle as indicated by the crank pulley lining up with "0". Pull the dist cap off and look where the rotor is pointing. If you can't get it close to #1 spark plug wire tower on the cap the timing chain jumped. If its close, pull all of the plugs and do a compression test. (To paraphrase an above post " for the engine to run you need three things: gas, spark, and air."): you also need a fourth component: compression to fire and sustain run.

finally got it going it was the points module needed adjustment but now coil running very hot
