Default HELP WITH HOTROD ENGINE

With a rebuilt 289 engine, i am going to add an edelbrock 4 barrel, holley 600 cfm 4v 4150 carb, paxton novi1200 supercharger, try y's, maybe a new camshaft and heads. The car (67 fastback) has traction bars equiped. What do you reccomend i toughen up on the car to deal w/ the power? Do I need forged pistons, etc.? Please hlp. thnx.

Im sorry that i cant help much, but maybe disc brakes. Thats a mighty setup youve got there.

Blown engnes require a low compression ratio and special cam to work best. Paxton should be able to guide you on this. New heads and high flow headers also. Do your homework before spending a dime...

yea, but i mean do i need to get new piston rings/pistons, or whatever to handle the power so it doesnt blow my car up.
