Default 67 Fastback v. 68 Fastback?

I see a lot of discussion about the 67 fastbacks, but very little about the 68 fastback. Is there much of a difference between the two?

More or less the same! some different engine options for 68 and front and rear side marker lights on the 68, 67 does not have them. Also the lower side vents are covered on the 68, Besides that the bodies are the same.

The grille bars and the side-sculptured air scoops were removed.
As "uwti" mentioned, there were some different engine options: They kept the 200cid six sylinder, and added a 250cid six in november. The 289 Four-barrel and 289 HiPo were replaced with the new 302 four-barrel and 302 HiPo. The 289 two-barrel was kept for the first half of the production line, and then replaced with a two-barrel 302. A few cars came with a 427cid, but were dropped in favor of the new 428 Cobra Jet.

As others wrote main visible differemces are rear fender air scoops are different shape 1967 - 1968. Side marker lights were new item at 1968. Only big tehnical difference is steering axle. 1967 cars it is on piece spear and 1968 cars it is "Energy absorbing steering column" so you might survive if you get hit to front end.

Mainly 1968 Mustang is face lift version of the 1967 Mustang. Great cars bouth, "Gone in 60 seconds" Eleanore is 1967 and in "Bullitt" Steve McQueen a.k.a. Frank Bullitt drove 1968 GT Fastback.

Not only was that a great movie, but a super designed car as well. Can any of you tell me where I can buy a kit to replicate that design to put on my 65?

'68s also added braces between the frame and floorboard behind the front tires to stiffen the chassis.
