replacing dash gauges
Anyone replace their factory gauges with aftermarket gauges mounted from the rear so that they still look kinda stock.
I've seen pics of aftermarket gauge swaps that have gone in from the front of the dash,....not pretty and not the look I'm hoping for.

I was thinking of doing the same thing on my 1971. Mine does not have the tach, and buying a new used instrument cluster is a bit too pricey for old technology. I'd like to cut out the existing instruments and attach new ones in their place. I have not taken apart my dash yet to see if this is possible, so I am looking forward to any responses you get too.

For like 50 bucks you can get a gauge support http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...ge-support.htm you will have to cut a little on the speedo and tach holes to fit the after market gauges but its only on the inside no one will see it.
