Default How are you doing your trunks?

I know the correct way of doing the trunk area is for it to be painted.
I don't want plain paint, it is too boring for me.

I want ideas and I'm looking for pics of your ideas of painting your trunks either with undercoat, splatter paint, any combos of ideas mentioned, anything.....
Please post pics.

Lynn

I used U-Pol Raptor and it turned out nice. You can also buy the tintable kit if you want it a different color besides black.

I blocked off 1/2 the trunk (69 mach) and did black/blue splatter as I had, on the sides, black epoxy with ceramic beads to cut the heat a little.

I didn't like the blue contrast with the blue on the car. I don't have a paint setup so I ordered, on line, matching spray paint to the OEM that's on the car.

I am finishing it today, spraying over the textured splatter, and then I am going to clear it when done. I am not painting the tank.

I will post later. I do think I would have been happier with black. I love the U-Pol pic above, I think that's so clean looking.

Are you doing a coupe or a fastback ? We are almost done with a complete package for the fastback, and will have the coupe/convertible done in June sometime.

that piece of sheet metal that seperates the trunk from the backseat, is that just a piece for fastbacks? or do they have them for regular coupes too? i really dig it
