If you attempt this setup, it would seem you would have to raise the seat up a couple of inches to clear the hump. Seat tracks are the same, and bolt hole spacing is the same, front to rear. The mustang center hump is, however, noticeably higher than the Falcon. Even the Mustang front bench seat had a built in contour to clear the hump. When all is done, I would bet the Falcon seat will sit you way too high up.
Best,
Al

The Falcon bench seat backs meet each other in the middle, whereas, the Mustang bench is simply two buckets with an attached center section and a fold down arm rest, fold up seat back in the middle. Very similar, but very different. The Mustang seat backs rotate slightly inboard, whereas I think the Falcon seats lean straight forward.
You can solve the seat dilemma by simply adding some 1" risers to your existing Mustang seat tracks.
Best,
Al

I'd think about it before I put a bench seat in a mustang. We put one in our 65 fastback (husband's idea) and he never did like it. It sat up higher than the buckets and wasn't as comfortable. I"m only 5'4" and I didn't like it either.

The mustang bench is not 2 buckets tied together. It is a unique lower seat for the extra hump height and it has split backs with an arm rest in between. The rest of your description is correct.

Slick66, You can adjust the lay back angle (somewhat) of the seats with the stop bolt shimming.

I stand corrected. We are tripping over semantics, here. The Mustang bench seat is actually unique and is built as one piece; however, if you examine the seat, it is nothing more than basically two bucket style seats built together with the hump pad and arm rest/seat back. It sits the same height, uses the same tracks, and the seat backs are identical to standard buckets.

Al
