So I just bought a 68 California special that has a lot of the original paint on it but some areas have been painted over the years. I'd say right now the paint is probably a 5 out of 10, its ok from a distance, but has some issues up close (chips, cracks, etc.) theres no filler in the car and no rust, the underside is spotless and the rest of the car is near perfect, it even has the original marchal fog lights! So i was wondering if anyone here knows of a place that would do a good job, and do it right, painting it, in michigan?

You could probably PM Waffles. He lives outside of Detroit. Not sure where in Michigan you are but he seems to know a lot of top notch places up there.

I know of a few good places, but my idea of good and your idea of good might be totally different.... and our idea of reasonable price might be different also. What kind of price are you looking to spend?

I'm located in Novi, which is also just outside of Detroit, but I'm not sure how much want to spend yet, I don't want to spend like 10k I was thinking under 5k but I've never had an entire car painted so I'm not rightly sure.

Well, generally speaking, of course, you get what you pay for. If you need minimal or no body work, 5k might cut it.

Ok cool thanks for the info, I'll look into that place in Howell, I appreciate it. Definitely ready for a meet and greet! Also I have a buddy that sells cars over that way, but I'm not sure if its at Brighton Ford or not. Do you know an Andrew Johnson?
