interior restoration

Default interior restoration

Im about to start restoring my interior and I am going to begin with repainting the doors and dash. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how this should be done. thanks

Question is do you have the painting equipment to pull this off? If not could be quite a challenge. I stripped mine a few years back and contracted a local body shop to paint my interior...Got it back and put it together. Looks great now...

I did mine it was a piece of cake. Just be careful getting the dash back in. Also, check all the bulbs and connection on the back of the dash when you have it out. I had to remove my steering wheel when I did mine.

Hmmmm. The dash on my 65 is welded in. When did Mustang start bolting them in?

Hmmmm. The dash on my 65 is welded in. When did Mustang start bolting them in?
Hopefully he did not mean that he put the dash back in.. but funny he said that....Welded on my 66 as well...and not a piece of cake

You all are talking about the dash FRAME. Yes mine is welded. I pulled the pad and all of the interior components glove comparment, gage pod, steeering shroud. etc and cleaned and painted.
