Best suspension for a 69
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to replace the old stock stuff with new, hopefully better stuff, but not too outrageous. Lower by an inch would be good too. Who's had positive experiences out there recently? I'll go to different tracks once in a while, so it needs to be decent at road courses, quarter mile and mostly the street.
Thanks for your stories...

Get with Scott. He seems to have a great suspension set-up. Also, consider polyuretane bushings, a 1" sway bar and greasable bushings and brackets. http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-3082-19-0.html

Thanks Soaring,
By the way, I already have all poly bushings and sway bars. I really need advice on springs for the front and rear. I'm thinking variable rate for the front and 'heavy duty' for the rear? My rears especially are getting bad...

Here are the grab-a-track rear leaf springs I put on mine. My old 65's butt was sagging so much, that I decided to put on the 4 1/2 leaf ones using standard eye. The mid eye will drop your's butt about an inch, and the reverse eye will drop it about 1 1/2 " of that is what you are wanting.
I assume you already have traction bars.

Those look pretty good, and quite a choice too. Did you take before and after measurements for ride height?
I currently have helper springs, which might serve like traction bars, sort of, at least I have no hop. My tires are pretty sticky, so I rarely loose traction. As a matter of fact, I had to back off my total timing after getting the Kumho Victoracers. I never realized how much my tires were spinnng with the old tires.
Anybody else use the same rears or something different? How about front springs?

I've been looking at these two for my '69 stang. Can someone let me know which is better or if neither are any good.

Okay, who knows of other vendors that sell variable rate front coils? Mustangs Plus's are about 3 times the cost of 620 pounders...the next best thing for me.
