I agree, that paint job better the best thing ever, but then again Blak is a really hard color to paint depending on how perfect you want it. For 10 Gs, that better be show quality, or money back, all or none
But never go with MAACO, i had a friend get a paint job from them, and they said not to wash the car, becasue there a waitng period or something for it to set. So he waited the 2 months or whatever it was. and when he took it to have it washed, haha big streaks of paint started to peel off. I laughed, he wasnt able to get his money back from it.

I painted my engine and motor compartment after I rebuilt it, and it didn't come out quite like I had hoped. I had a few runs and some peeling, but I did an "Ultra Quickie" job with very little prep work. I bet that if I did it again, I could do a way better job. Also, does anybody know how clean of a shop is necessary for a complete body paint job? I'm thinking about doing my whole car, and one of my families companies has a large metal shop thats empty on the weekend, but its usually kinda dusty.

Tyler, it sounds like this guy is trying to take you. I was quoted by the Ford Dealership here in Abilene Texas $10K to strip the car down completely, replace the floor pans, completely repaint the car and that includeds a couple white pony strips. I would look around and get 10 or so estimates then decide.
