Question Manifold and carby

Hi all, I am new this forum, and have recently bought a 66 coupe c code. I want to keep it original, but not sure on the manifold and carby, should I change to a different manifold and a Holley carby?
All I put would be most appreciated.
By the way I live in Australia as well.

Entirely up to you. Unless really uniquely optioned, a C code car isn't terribly valuable, so I personally wouldn't worry about originality. Unless you plan on selling the car, make it the way you want it to be.

Much appreciated Starfury, I bought it for my wife as an anniversary present, and we are going to keep it.
Thanks again.

Then absolutely do whatever you want to make it yours. Don't worry about "originality."

first...WHY would you want to do this?

you will get very little more upper end power out of it unless it has flat top pistons.

if you want to do this, i would buy an eddy performer carb and a 500 cfm quick fuel or holley vacuum secondary with electric choke connected to back of alternator, not to the ignition wire.
