1966 no rear seat seat belts?

1966 no rear seat seat belts?
1966 Ford mustang, cali car, front has the lap belts for both driver and passanger, in the rear there is nothing? what do i do if i want to take the kids for rides?

Do what we did in the 60's, leave the kids home. No seat belts in many cars. Back in the 50's we rode behind the 3rd seat in the Country Squire so my dad couldn't reach us with his long arm.
I know it's the law today. A LynnBob said, buy a good set and install them. It is pretty easy. I would suggest shoulder belts for the front also. We put these in the grandkids '67 and only took a couple of minutes as there were anchor points.

You can get a bunch of different choices here.
I got these for our '65 coupe, you have to buy two sets and they come with hardware to install.

You take the back seat out, find the seat belt locations, drill four holes, and bolt in belts.

All you have to do is take out the back seat and drill four large holes in the floor pan like I'm doing here on our '65 coupe for our rear seat belt install and install the seat belts.
It is no big deal, you can do it in a afternoon, and have your kids out for ice cream that same night.

once i get the belts, i will drill in the same spots and bolt them on, im assuming its a 2 person job> one to hold the bolt and one to tighten it from the bottom? also, where abouts will it be on the bottom?once i do this, i will put up pics, should be in the next week.

Not mine, but you will get the idea of where the holes will be.
The big rectangles are the factory "plate nuts" that are welded to the body for the anchoring points for the rear belts. The kits come with thick big 3"+ washers that are just simply bolted to the bottom of the car and come with the seat belt kit, so you won't need those big factory style parts unless you got a concurs car or something.
Here is the same spot on ours, but no holes drilled yet.
Yeah, it will be a two person job, one to hold the bolt inside the cabin and one under tightening down the nut.
Those seat belts are great, I just had them out last night checking them out.

Remember, you need two sets of belts, they are sold singly.
