Default Changing Springs to lower GT/CS

I know that a convertible requires springs that are for the convertible. I have a GT/CS, 2014, that I want to change out the springs to lower the center of gravity. What is recommended for the convertible?

Should I also change out the shocks? Anything else I need to add or change?

Eibach Pro Springs would work just fine they are made for both verts and none verts. Good chance with lower you will need camber bolts and a new panhard bar to get everything lined back up though. I have not replaced shocks and struts on my GT but its not a vert. It will need them at some point but right now its running fine on the stock ones.

Upgraded shocks and struts are not necessary, but they certainly improve handling.

Larry,

I wish you would have mentioned something while we were all togher this past weekend.

My vert is lowered with just the Eibachs. You don't need to change out anything else with those springs if you're just driving it moderately.

The pro kit actually lowers the vehicle 1.0" in the front and 1.0" in the rear. Eibach also makes another kit called the sportline kit, and that lowers it 1.4" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. The sportline kit is a more aggressive riding spring though. You sacrifice a little bit of ride quality, but it all depends on what your comfort preference is. Me personally, I like the way the sportline kit rides because I like that aggressive feel of the road, but a lot of people don't. I actually get an awesome deal on all the Eibach products, so if you are interested in picking up a set, or you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Eibach actually does 1.0" front, 1.2" rear and yeah the sportline is 1.5".

The convertible 5.0 is 1" all the way around. If its a coupe, they lower the rear 1.5". according to Eibach.
