A good protectant needs to be re-applied about every 4-6 months depending on weather conditions and washing and maintenance habits. Some companies claim a wax will last a year or longer and this may be true if you are looking for traces of protection. I usually tell our customers to think of it as you would sunscreen for your skin, don't wait until your protection is gone and your skin is starting to burn. The same goes for your paint, don't wait until the damage starts, maintain your paint by keeping it well protected. I lean towards every 4 months and usually more often as I use the Ultima Paint Guard Plus, it is an apply, walk away product that you don't have to wipe off and it only takes about 10 minutes. I do admit though, I do it more often for looks as black always looks better with a fresh coat of wax or sealant.
