I want to get my windows tinted but I'm afraid here in RI I might not pass inspection. Any Rhode Islanders know of a place here that might not be so picky?

Man, if you're gonna do it, you better do it soon. When I got mine done a couple weeks ago, the owner told me that RI was pushing legislation to make tint illegal, period. Only medical exemptions.
I'd imagine if you have it on and can prove (keep receipt I guess) it was on before the law you should be ok to keep it. Grandfathered in kinda.
Either that or find a way to register it in CT lol.
Anyways, dunno if you ever venture out to CT but Tintmaster in New London does the best work of anyone around here for sure. I'm not sure what the % limits are for RI at the moment either, I'd guess it's probably a bit more strict than CT. You can always call RI DMV (lol headache for sure) to find out.
Thanks Mook - I actually work at the Groton airport so I'm down that way all the time. You mentioned medical - my son told me I might have a ligit medical reason for it so maybe I'll try that route.

Ahh cool, just a skip over the bridge then. Only took 'em 1 1/2 hrs to do mine. Had 4 cars done with 'em so far, never a problem on any with film or work.
The med exemptions are usually for light/sun sensitivity with either eyes or skin. If push came to shove I'm sure you could find a Dr shady enough to do the paperwork even if he knows you're ok lol.
