How do you keep your paint looking new?
I'm curious what tricks you guys use to keep the stang looking like new? I ask because when I moved to my current location (Corpus Christi TX) I had a black Nissan and I don't know what about the coast caused this but my black paint faded quickly on the roof and hood. I noticed some of my coworkers having similar issues with there older cars when moving here too. I'm not used to living on the coast and have no idea what I need to be protecting against. Right now I just wash my car weekly. Also, I've already had someone bang my door...I hate living in apartments! Can't wait to have a garage! What would y'all recommend for small scratches?

I'd spend some time using a clay bar all over your car, giving it a good wash, wax, and polish. For the small scratches, depending on how deep they are, your best bet is to get touch up paint, and try to correct it.
If you want a good guide on how to keep paint looking like new, you should check out SON1C's write ups in the Detailing section. His car looks brand new. Honestly wish he would give mine a go and teach me everything he knows.

I wash mine every single week, by hand, no automated crap. Once a month she gets wax, polish, and clay bar, and as much as possible, parked in the shade to avoid the paint fading. Can't be perfect all the time, but the paint on this car needs a lot more attention than my previous cars. Seems like the thickness of the paint and clear coat isn't as thick as it was on my last cars.

Keeping it out of the sun is a biggy. If you have a car cover use it, if not get one and use it! I use my car cover on mine even when its inside to keep the dust and anything else off the paint.
I wash only by hand and I never put a wash rag to my paint. I use a high pressure sprayer and hand dry it with ONLY mircofiber towels.
Mine is not out on the road that much so I only clay bar about every 6 months and it gets waxed with high quality pure carnuba paste wax once a month and I use spray shine between waxing.
Its a lot of work but, if you want your paint to have a nice high gloss shine its worth it.

Don't park outside, use a cover either way, keep it (hand) washed, keep it waxed, yada yada.
If you're in a salt environment, then the cover and wax is all the more important.
