does anybody know how much lighter a finished carbon fiber hood is than a stock hood on a sn95

No but im guessing about half the weight..if your doing it for performance i wouldnt spend the $300-400 for a c/f hood. They do look trick on some cars though

yeah i'm only gettin it for the weight difference cuz i'm gonna paintit black before i put it on. they do look cool but i wnat my car solid black but i'm just tryin to shave weight off it where i can

HO Fibertrends hoods run around 20lbs. My Cobra R hood is unbelievably light compared to the stock one.

Carbon composites are lighter than fiberglass, but they're also stronger and don't break as easily. There's some companies that make carbon/kevlar stuff for my 67....the factory hood weighs 44lbs, the fiberglass is like 27lbs, and the carbon/kevlar is around15lbs
