Default Repair question

OK, I've come to the realization that I probably have a bad brake light actuator (can't shift from Park, no lights when brake is depressed.).

On a scale of 1 to 10, with1 being changing a tire, and 10 being rebuilding an engine, about how difficult is replacing this (the brake actuator/switch) ? Is it something that a casual semi-mechanicly inclined person can do? Or should I take it to a repair guy, and if I do that, what price range am I looking at?

Thanks
