Default Brakes shouldnt look like this....56k go 2 hell

a guy at my school actually drove his 1998 dakota like this until a few days ago.... this is BAD! so bad, one of my instructors wanted to keep it to show his future auto tech students....

Holy crap! Is that the back side of the rotor!? Ive never seen anybody wear a rotor down to the fins before! What did the others look like?

the back of the rotor is perfect. thats the front side, the side that faces the rim. both front brake rotos were like this. (the rear are drum)

I actually saw someeone drive one until it seperated from the hub and he had no brakes. The pads would stop but the hub would keep on going....not too far from where that one is....Some people. I bet he never heard anything either.

What an idiot!!!
What kind of ,,,person drives a vehicle without at least glancing down at the tires and brake rotors before driving? It must have been one of those guys who pulls into a repair shop and say's "somethings broken in there".
This guy's going to be a victim of multiple rapes at the hands of unscrupulous mechanics for years and years.

ive never seen a car driven by a guy with rotors like that...wasnt it an indication to him when the brakes STARTED grinding? that didnt happen overnight...
