HID, single of dual beam???
ok heres the problem, i have smoked headlights on my 99gt, i bought silverstar bulbs b/c i ran into a lighting issue on my 91, I CANT SEE ANYTHING. the silverstar helped a little but not enough, so i want to get HID's. i was looking aorund and seen they sold single and dual beam. is one better than the other? what about the temp they burn at? any help appreciated.

some states, ie NY, require high and low beams to pass safety inspection. The dual beam HIDs allow you to keep your high beams for cars that use one bulb for highs/lows, like our Mustangs.
as for the temperature, if you're referring to 6000K, 8000K, etc. that is the color of the HID bulb. 4300K being stock color or white. as the number increases more blue is added to the color output, until you reach about 12000K or so where the light starts turning purpleish. In the opposite direction, like 3000K, the light will be yellow.
Also note the higher temp you go the LESS light the HID will produce, 4300K-5000K is the brightest color available.

I have smoked headlights. It's not that they aren't bright enough, I just like being able to use my high beams because it gives me more upward visibility on these dark country roads.
As for the temp, I have 8000k which I like a lot, but I usually suggest 6000k to most everyone else.
