what about lifting it with a motor hoist? or just lifting it on one side...you wont have to lift it that much to change the mount....couple strong friends and a long board.

For around $100.00, you can get an engine brace/hoist. It goes across the engine and sits on the inner lip of the fenders. You attach it to the engine with a big J bolt to the engine. You can raise the engine with a wrench then. I used to be Assist Gen Mgr for a franchise of shops. We used them all the time.[sm=gears.gif][sm=gears.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

yeah. You can jack it up in many places just make sure you distribute the wieght or you will bend somthing or put a hole in you pan. take a 2' X 2' 3/4" plywood to put directly on to lift. But I see no reason to go and rent a $100 engine hoist. or just lift the engine slightly with a 2x4 you and your friends just line 2003bluestang said. You only need a couple inches.

THanks for all the help guys got one sid edone tonight. would have gotten them both but appears the rear bolt was missing on the pass side. Come to find out the hole is stripped out my buddy is bringing over a tap tomorrow night so we can finish. bout mounts had one break on each by the rear bolt hole on drivers side and front bolt hole on the pass side. i am glad i noticed this before i ended up with some serious damage. Thanks again
