Default Clutchless Shifting

Hey guys, im just wondering about shifting without using clutch...
I saw some movies on youtube, even i tried it long time ago, it worked, but its dangerous (easy way to uck up your transmission)
So, have an friend, he is trucker(CDL), he is just shifting without clutch, but he must do it on some RPM's (depends what gear) and gear is going in smoothly, do anybody of you know how to work with it in Mustang ? =]
Take care.

ya u can do it in any manual you just have to find where the gear speed is matching the rpms and itll slide in the next gear each one is different tho

I've driven large 10-speed trucks and yes, once you get used to the truck you can shift with out using the clutch. I tried it in my mustang but it was alot more difficult, I was only able to shift from 3rd to 4th without using the clutch. I ground the hell outta all the other gears. Unless you like paying for new transmissions, use the clutch...it's there for a reason, and it's fun!

What would be the point? Shifting without the clutch takes 10x longer to change gears compared to using the clutch. And.,.. you risk fugging up your tranny

Ok ok that's not really a fair comparison it does take 10x longer in OUR cars lol

Powershifting is used primarily for drag racing.. it is also used for burning through your clutch very fast :-)

Clutchless shifting is possible in our vehicles, I did it once for ****s and giggles. When upshifting just push the shift into the next gear and hold it there(as the revs drop on their own) til it falls in. If you pull it out of gear and push it into gear without using the clutch you shouldn't grind your gears... however you are gonna wear your synchros out. When down shifting you down the same thing except blip the gas pedal to rev match.
