87-93 have the same hp. they were just rated differently. like dcmann said in 93 they measured hp with all the accesories on the motor and running.

i have always heard that the 94-95 had 215hp at the flywheel and the 89-93 had 225. the reason the 94-95's had less horsepower due to smaller intake runners
