I can only agree the break in period is a good thing for long life. Even follow it with an oil change before the hit but let me tell you. There have been MILLIONS of track only cars that see no break in and live a long happy life.

Break in on a ring and pinion is about heat cycles. The paperwork will tell you exactly, but it's usually 10 minutes or so of light driving, cool down, 30 minutes or so of light driving, cool down, longer run, cool down, carry on with usual use.

I forgot to post what I ended up going with. Went 31 spline with 3.73s, and a detroit true-trac. If anyone is intrested I will post my thoughts of the true-trac when I put some miles on it. Wont be driving it much this winter though.

And yes I still plan on doing the coyote swap next year.
