I crawled under the car to inspect mine and this is what I found. WTF?
You can see where the arm is hitting the housing. There are also some bumps protruding from the housing that hit against the arm. If you zoom in on the weld photo you can see it starting to crack. I filed down the bumps, but the damage is already done. I'm supposed to drive to Asheville today but now I might have to put the stock arm in first.

Wish I had that luck :-)
Whiteline responded to my email as follows:
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for contacting Whiteline. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As you already know, we have recently become aware of a potential issue with our KTA141 Upper Control Arm. The clevis that bolts to the differential housing may flex, and under extreme conditions, break. Several Mustangs were checked ranging from high horsepower track cars to daily drivers. From over 10 test vehicles inspected, only one showed any signs of fatigue. However, we are taking no chances and are redesigning the UCA. We already have the new design being built for testing and will have a more definitive answer within the next week to replace your arm. When the new upgraded arm, existing owners will receive it free of charge.
We recommend having your UCA inspected for fatigue/stress as soon as possible. If your arm show any damage, we can provide replacement arms to use while the new arms are being produced. Note, owners of the existing arm will receive the upgraded arm free of charge regardless if their arm shows signs of damage or not.
However, if do not wish to keep the UCA and receive the upgraded arm, we understand completely and will work with Hypermotive to facilitate the process.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Best Regards,
Technical & Customer Service
